PM Modi holds talks with US Supremo Trump

In the sideline of the G20 summit organised in Osaka, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who recently held talks with the United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo when the latter visited New Delhi, has held talks with the US President Donald Trump.

Iran, 5G communication networks, trade and defence are the main topics which have been discussed in the meeting.

During the meeting, the Indian Supremo thanked the US President for the letter of Washington’s love towards Delhi he sent with his Secretary of State when the secretary visited India.

Meanwhile, the US President has congratulated the Indian PM for his remarkable election victory, and expressed his country’s interest to continue its cordial relation with India.

On the Iran issue, this time, the US President has responded a little differently. He has responded positively to all concerns raised by the Indian PM, including India’s Iran concern.

It was when the US imposed (actually, re-imposed) economic sanction over Iran that the Iran issue originally emerged.

The US’ sanction prevents India from continuing its economic relation, mainly its oil business, with Iran.

The decline of the oil import from Iran has created a huge gap between the oil demand and the oil stoke in the country.
