Paralympics: India’s medal haul in Tokyo; Four today! Silver and bronze on the javelin

India wins two more medals at Paralympics Devendra Jazaria won silver in the javelin throw while Sundar Singh Gurjar won bronze. This is India’s fourth medal in the Games today. Devendra Jazaria won silver with the best individual performance (64.35m). Sunder Singh Gurjar found his best time of the season at 64.01 meters.

Avani Lekhara set a world record (249.6) in the 10m air rifle this morning. She is the first Indian woman to win a gold in the Paralympics. This is her first Paralympics at the age of nineteen. Yogesh Khathunia won silver in the men’s discus throw F56 category this morning. Khatunia set a new world record of 44.38 meters.
