Oscar Award 2022: Best Actor Will Smith, Actress Jessica, Director Jane Campion, Movie CODA

Smith won the Best Actor at the 94th Oscar award for his performance in King Richard. Best Actress is Jessica Chastain. Her performance in The Eyes of Tommy Faye was recognized. Jane Campion won Best Director for The Power of the Dog.

CODA won the Oscar for Best Picture. CODA also won the award for Best Adapted Screenplay. Troy Coates won the Best Supporting Actor award for her performance in the film. Coda tells the touching story of a deaf family through Apple’s streaming platform. Best Supporting Actress is Ariano Dabos. The award went to the actress for her performance in West Side Story. Ariano is also the first transgender person to win an Oscar.

‘Encanto’ is the best animated film. Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard. The film revolves around an extraordinary family of Madrigalles who live in a hidden place called Encanto. ‘The Windshield Wiper’ by Alberto Mielgo and Leo Sansche was nominated for Best Animated Short Film. Ben Proudfoot’s The Queen of Basketball won the Oscar for Documentary Short. The Oscar-winning film Dune is currently leading the way and has won six awards. The film won the Oscars for Best Music (Original), Best Sound, Best Editing, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effect. ‘Drive My Car’ won the award for Foreign Language Film.
