OpenAI Appoints Former Uber India Chief Prabhjeet Singh as India Managing Director

OpenAI has appointed Prabhjeet Singh as its Managing Director for India, with his tenure set to begin in September. Singh previously served as President of Uber India and South Asia, bringing extensive leadership experience in the country’s technology and mobility sectors.

As OpenAI’s most senior executive in India, Singh will oversee the company’s operations across consumer growth, enterprise adoption and strategic partnerships. The appointment reflects OpenAI’s continued focus on expanding its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing artificial intelligence markets.

The company said Singh will play a key role in strengthening OpenAI’s business and ecosystem in India by driving adoption of its AI technologies among consumers, businesses and partners.
