OnePlus Expands India Tablet Lineup Despite Exit Rumours
OnePlus India is preparing to expand its tablet portfolio with the OnePlus Pad 4 Smart Keyboard, which the company says will be announced in the coming weeks. The move comes amid reports of global restructuring and speculation about OnePlus scaling back operations in some markets, including India.
Varun Jha, Head of IoT Business at OnePlus India, said the company has “exciting plans” for its tablet portfolio later this year, although details of the next major device remain undisclosed. OnePlus has expanded its tablet range over the past two years, from the sub-₹20,000 Pad Lite to the premium Pad 4 powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite platform.
The company is also seeing growing demand for larger-screen tablets as consumers increasingly use them for productivity, note-taking, multitasking and creative work. While OnePlus has confirmed plans to stop new product launches in Europe and North America as part of a global strategy adjustment, its continued tablet expansion suggests the company remains committed to the Indian market, even as parent company Oppo streamlines its broader product portfolio.
