One-Year-Old Dies Due To Measles In Mumbai, 10 Deaths This Year
Twenty new measles cases were reported in Mumbai today, and a one-year-old child passed away from the disease, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). 220 measles cases have been registered in Mumbai since the beginning of this year.
Ten people have died from measles-related causes since the start of this year.
The civic organisation urged everyone to vaccinate children between the ages of nine months and five years due to the measles outbreak in Mumbai.
120 beds at the SevenHills Hospital in Andheri have been set aside for measles patients as a precaution. This comprises 10 ventilators, 10 intensive care unit beds, and 100 oxygen beds (ICU).The hospital has been operating as a solely devoted Covid-19 facility for the past two years.
