India does not win bronze in Olympic women’s hockey India lost to Britain 3-4 in the bronze medal match.

The Indian women finally conceded defeat after trailing by one goal and coming back with three goals. Britain took the lead with a brace early in the second quarter. But Gurjit Kaur doubled India’s lead. India then took the lead with a third goal through Vandana Kataria. But the final quarter was decisive as Britain drew 3-3 in the third quarter.

The final quarter was exciting as both teams were given equal chances. However, India suffered a setback when they were awarded early penalty corners. Taking the opportunity, Britain took the lead through Grace in the 48th minute. Once again, the Indian women were unable to draw level. However, the Indian women have the best finish in the history of the Olympics.
