No salary to staffs working in ‘social exclusion centres’ of top universities

 Exposing clearly how much attention the authorities give to the functions of the top universities’ social exclusion centres which are dedicated to the study of Scheduled Cast, Scheduled Tribes and Minority Communities, the authorities have not been properly paying salaries for the employees for at least last several months. The renowned universities such as Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia University and Manipal Central University are some of the universities which are suffering due to this negligence of the concerned authorities. A media report says that the UGC has not disbursed the fund for these universities that is why these universities have not distributed salaries to the staffs working in the social exclusive centres. In the report published in a popular newspaper, it has quoted Jamia Millia Islamia Univerisity office as saying at least eight teaching and non-teaching staffs have not been paid due to this issue. It is learned that the concerned authority, the UGC, has not responded to the issue properly. While speaking to the national newspaper, a senior officer of the UGC has reportedly claimed that he has no information on the issue regarding the improper dispersion of the funds.bThe authorities must show little more care while dealing with the sensitive issues like this, says observer.bThe social exclusion centres must be properly maintained and fuelled, considering the magnitude of reward it gives to the society.
