Mukesh Ambani says RIL will grow to be among the top 10 business conglomerates of the world
During Reliance Family Day, Chairman Mukesh Ambani highlighted the unprecedented opportunity for Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) as India aims to become the world’s third-largest economy. Ambani expressed the company’s ambition to be among the top 10 global business conglomerates.
Looking ahead to 2024, he outlined RIL’s roadmap, emphasizing a focus on digital platforms and AI adoption to enhance decision-making and resource utilization. Ambani urged a bold embrace of data and AI to achieve significant leaps in productivity and efficiency across RIL’s growth engines, including Digital Services, Green and Bio-Energy, Retail and Consumer Brands, O2C & Materials business, and Health and Life Sciences.
To transform RIL into an AI-immersive tech company, Ambani hinted at the development of necessary talent and competencies at all organizational levels. He stressed the importance of maintaining a “founder’s mindset” or “ownership mindset” within the institutional culture, recognizing the need to adapt to the rapid changes in domestic and global business environments. Ambani directed his message to the young workforce and leaders, urging them to keep Reliance perpetually youthful, with an average team age in the 30s.
As RIL undergoes a generational transition, Ambani expressed confidence in the capabilities of his heirs, including Akash, Isha, Anant, and their generation. He sees the future of Reliance belonging to them and believes they will achieve more and contribute greater accomplishments to the company than his own generation.
