Mother was badly portrayed; Family against ‘Gangubhai Kathiawadi’

‘Gangubhai Kathiawadi’ is a film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali starring Alia Bhatt in the lead role. The movie set in Kamathipura will hit theaters on the 25th of this month. At this point, the real Gangubhai’s family has come out against the film.

Gangubhai’s adopted son has come out against the film. They allege that their mother was badly portrayed. According to the reports, she was portrayed as a queen and told people things she should not say about her mother.

In 2021, the family filed a petition against the film. Mumbai court later issued summons to director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt. The Bombay High Court then granted interim stay on the proceedings against the film.
