Microsoft Partners with Indian Government to Bring 15,000 Global Employers to NCS Platform

Microsoft and the Ministry of Labour and Employment have signed a major MoU in New Delhi to strengthen India’s workforce capabilities and expand access to global job opportunities. Under the agreement, Microsoft will integrate over 15,000 global employers and partners from its network into the National Career Service (NCS) platform, significantly boosting access to formal employment and supporting fast-growing sectors across India and abroad.

The partnership will also enhance AI-led skilling through DigiSaksham, enabling millions of young Indians to learn essential skills in artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, cybersecurity and productivity tools. Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya highlighted that the collaboration aligns with India’s mission to create a digitally skilled and globally competitive workforce. He also noted the country’s historic rise in social protection coverage—from 19% in 2015 to 64.3% in 2025, benefiting more than 94 crore citizens.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella praised India’s advancement in social protection and expressed strong interest in supporting the creation of an Employment Digital Public Infrastructure. The Ministry stated that Microsoft’s expertise in Azure and AI technologies will help upgrade platforms like NCS and e-Shram, improve labour market intelligence and increase adoption among employers, training partners and institutions.
