Maruti Suzuki to Invest ₹74.1 Billion in Third Haryana Plant

India’s leading carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, has announced an investment of ₹74.1 billion (approximately $864 million) to establish a third manufacturing plant in Haryana. The new facility will boost the company’s production capacity in the state to 750,000 units per year by 2029, further strengthening its foothold in India’s automotive sector.
Currently, Maruti Suzuki operates one plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana, with an annual production capacity of 250,000 vehicles. A second plant with the same capacity is under construction. The addition of the third plant will significantly enhance manufacturing capabilities, catering to the growing demand for Maruti vehicles in both domestic and international markets.
With this expansion, Maruti Suzuki aims to reinforce its leadership in India’s automobile industry and meet increasing customer demand. The investment aligns with the company’s long-term strategy to scale up production and introduce new models, ensuring sustainable growth and innovation in the competitive automotive landscape.
