They only need the support of forty-seven members to help at least one of its candidates to sail through the tough election. As per the latest report, Ahmed Patel is the candidate of the Congress. According to the report, a prominent faction of the congress party is unsatisfied due to the party’s attempt to field the senior Congress leader again in the RS election. The Rajya Sabha election is scheduled to happen on August 8, 2017. In the coming days, the Congress Party in the state of Gujrat is likely to suffer some serious setbacks, say political observers.
