‘Marakkar’ gets three week ‘free run’ not only in Kerala but also in Tamil Nadu

Priyadarshan’s ‘Marakkar: The Lion of the Arabian Sea’ is one of the big releases that had to be changed in the Covid context. The producer has decided to change the release dates of the film and it will hit the theaters on August 12 as an Onam release. When Covid opens theaters after the second wave, theater owners hope that audiences will return to theaters when a film like ‘Marakkae’ comes out.

Earlier, it was reported that the film would be released in theaters across Kerala. The theater owners have also decided to give the film a three-week ‘free-run’, excluding other releases. But the latest information is that Marakkar will get this benefit not only in Kerala but also in Tamil Nadu.

Priyadarshan himself shared this in an interview. In an interview to Pink Villa, Priyan said that theater owners in Kerala and Tamil Nadu are supporting the film. “We have been waiting for the release of Marakkar for a year and a half.

It is believed that the film will do well at the box office. Theater owners in Kerala and Tamil Nadu have assured that no other films will be released for 21 days. Because they are convinced that Marakkar is a film that can bring audiences back to the theaters, “says Priyadarshan.

Mohanlal’s Kunjali Marakkar is the first 100 crore budget film in Malayalam. Pranav Mohanlal, Arjun, Sunil Shetty, Prabhu, Manju Warrier, Suhasini, Keerthi Suresh, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Fazil, Siddique, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent and Ashok Sellan will be seen in other important roles.
