MakeMyTrip Files Confidentially for India IPO
Travel booking platform MakeMyTrip has confidentially filed for an initial public offering (IPO) of its Indian subsidiary with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The confidential filing allows the company to submit draft documents for regulatory review without publicly disclosing sensitive financial and business information.
The Nasdaq-listed company, which also owns travel platform Goibibo and bus-ticketing service redBus, said both MakeMyTrip and its subsidiary, ibibo Group Holdings, plan to sell shares as part of the proposed IPO. MakeMyTrip has been listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange since 2010.
The company said the proceeds from the share sale will be used to strengthen its cash position, support long-term business growth, and fund strategic acquisitions and expansion initiatives. The IPO marks another significant step in MakeMyTrip’s growth strategy in India’s rapidly expanding travel sector.
