Maharashtra lowers CNG prices; Price of cooking gas for domestic use also reduced

In Maharashtra, the price of CNG has been reduced. It was reduced by Rs 6. The current price is 60 Rs. The Maharashtra government has reduced the CNG tax from 13.5 per cent to 3 per cent. The price of PNG (piped natural gas) for households has also come down here. It was reduced by Rs 3.50. At present it is charged at Rs 36 per kg.

The tax fee has been increased as per the Central and State Budgets. From today, the new financial year, the tax burden will increase. The basic land tax has more than doubled. The basic land tax rates on all slabs have been increased to ensure accuracy and precision. This is expected to generate an additional revenue of about `80 crore. A 10 per cent increase in the fair value of land will be implemented. An additional revenue of Rs 200 crore is expected.

The basic land tax, a central component of land records management, will be reformed. The basic land tax will be revised by introducing new slabs above 40.47 in Gram Panchayats, Municipalities and Corporations. The basic land tax rates on all slabs will be increased to ensure accuracy and precision. It is expected to generate an additional revenue of about `80 crore. The Government is in the first phase of implementing state-of-the-art technological changes, including a digital land survey project at a cost of `339 crore.

The fair value of land in many areas does not match the current market value. The government has undertaken major infrastructure projects such as national highway development, metro rail project and core road network expansion. As a result, the market value of the surrounding area has multiplied. A one-time increase of 10% of the existing fair price will be implemented in all categories. It is expected to generate an additional revenue of over `200 crore.
