Lookout notice against Nupur Sharma: Action taken after Supreme Court criticism

After the Supreme Court strongly criticized Nupur Sharma for her anti-Nabi remarks, the police issued a lookout notice. A lookout notice has been issued by the Kolkata Police. Last day, the court raised severe criticism that Nupur Sharma is responsible for all the untoward incidents in the country, including the Udaipur murder.

The court taunted the police that Nupur would be seen with a carpet, and the fact that the arrest was not made was a proof of their influence. But all these criticisms were dismissed by the court in its order rejecting Nupur Sharma’s plea to transfer the cases in various states to Delhi.

It was only mentioned in the order that the petition was allowed to be withdrawn and that other avenues possible in law could be sought. The opposition is raising its stance against the Center by raising the issue of the arrest of Teesta Setalvad and the slowness in the arrest of Nupur Sharma.
