Lok Sabha to consider BJP’s non-confidence motion tomorrow

It seems that the National Democratic Alliance’s tactics has worked well. It is clear that no one in the opposition has expected that the lower house speaker would accept the non-confidence motion moved by the Telugu Desam Party, the former member of the NDA. There is no doubt that the opposition’s plan was to disrupt the functioning of both houses of the parliament.

Now, with the unexpected move to accept the non-confidence motion, the NDA has secured a peaceful house and enough time to clear all their urgent bills.

In the lower house, the BJP, the prime member of the NDA, alone has enough members to defeat the non-confidence motion.

It is assumed that the NDA aims to secure more votes than what they actually have in the house to demonstrate their capability to amass support even from the opposition wing.

Meanwhile, the Congress party, one of the prime opposition parties, has expressed their confidence in winning the motion. They have added that they are not interested to disclose their tactics at the moment due to the fear of the ruling party’s damage control capability.

Anyway, the opposition party has asserted that they have enough support to win the motion as there are several lawmakers in the ruling front who are unhappy with their front’s policies.

However, if the opposition fails in their effort, they can easily be portrayed as an obstructionist in future.
