KCR’s Daughter Seeks To Postpone CBI Questioning In Delhi Liquor Policy Case

Due to her busy schedule, TRS MLC K Kavitha, who has been served with a notice by the CBI for interrogation in relation to the Delhi Excise Policy scandal, announced on Monday that she will be able to meet the investigators from December 11–15 (except on December 13) rather than on December 6.

The daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao claimed in a letter to the investigating agency that she had read the contents of the FIR copy and the complaint posted on the case’s website and that her name did not appear anywhere in any way.

“As proposed by you, I am not in a position to meet on 6th December, 2022, because of my preoccupied schedule. I will be able to meet you either on 11th, 12th or 14th or 15th of this month whichever is as convenient to you at my residence in Hyderabad. Same may please be confirmed at the earliest,” she said in the letter to the CBI.

Raghavendra Vatsa, Head of Branch/DIG, CBI, ACB Delhi, was the recipient of the letter.

The TRS leader was given notice by the CBI on December 2 that he would be interrogated on the case on December 6. The investigation agency requested that she notify them of the location of her choosing for the “examination” scheduled for that day at 11 AM.

According to a statement from Kavitha, she told the authorities they might meet her at her home in Hyderabad.

“I am a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate with the investigation. I will meet you on any of the above said dates to cooperate with the investigation. It is made clear that this is without prejudice to my legal rights available under law,” she further said. Kavitha had declared she was prepared to face any investigation after her name appeared in a remand report on alleged kickbacks in the scheme that the Enforcement Directorate had submitted to a Delhi court.
