Indian Jugaad to sterilize vegetable during this crisis period

A video of a man using steam from a pressure cooker to sterilise vegetables in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic has gone viral on social media.Using jugaad is an Indian’s way of dealing with tasks at hands.

The video was shared by IAS officer Supriya Sahu on Twitter. “Look at the great Indian jugaad to sterilize vegetables. The efficacy of this methodology cannot be certified by me however, India never fails to amaze. Incredible India,” the video is captioned.

In the video, a man can be seen using the steam from the pressure to sterilise vegetables. The pressure cooker is placed on a gas stove. Instead of putting a whistle on the lid of the cooker, the man has placed a small pipe to direct the steam to the vegetables kept in plates.

Some netizens found it “a great idea”, while others said that it looked “dangerous”. What do you think about this Indian Jugaad?
