In Madurai, a newborn baby abandoned on the road was bitten by stray dogs
A newborn baby abandoned in a deserted place in Madurai was bitten and eaten by stray dogs. The tragic incident took place on Usilampetti Theni Road. The locals informed the police on suspicion of seeing blood stained cloth being bitten by stray dogs near the Ponnusamy Theater. When the police checked, they found that the dogs had bitten the baby.
The body of the bloodied baby was found when the police chased the dogs and opened the cloth. Three-quarters of the body was bitten by stray dogs. The initial conclusion of the police is that the baby was wrapped in cloth and left on the roadside.
The child was found, near the Ponnusamy cinema theater while checking the CCTV footage. Police are also examining CCTV footage of shops in the area. Police are trying to find out who left the baby by the roadside.
