Harassment complaint against NCP leader; The woman’s statement will be recorded today
Police will record the statement of the woman who had lodged a harassment complaint against the NCP leader today. The woman had alleged that Padmakaran, a member of the NCP state executive committee, had grabbed her by the hand and defamed her through WhatsApp.
The police have not yet registered a case as it is not clear at the time of the incident mentioned in the complaint. However, the police had registered a case against Minister AK Shashindran yesterday after his involvement in the case came to light. The case was registered against Padmakaran and NCP activist Rajeev.
Padmakaran and his supporters describe it as a false complaint following internal party problems. Meanwhile, NCP state general secretary Mathews George will arrive in Kollam today to probe the incident.
