Govt to launch new IT, e-Commerce and IoT policies

In a bid to create a conductive platform for the effortless implementation of the digital revolution, the central government is set to launch new IT, e-Commerce and IoT policies.

The information regarding the ambitious plan has been publicised by the Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ravi Shankar Prasad.

In the maiden Indian Mobile Congress, which is regarding as a forum to discuss how India can be made the strong voice in the global communication sector, the minister has said that the government have articulated plan to launch a new IT policy, new e-Commerce policy and a new IoT policy.

The First IMC, which is a three-day event, has been inaugurated by the Minister of State Communications, Manoj Sinha, who last day publicised the government plan to launch the 5G.

Apart from Mr Prasad, various other stakeholders such as the ministers, bureaucrats, top businessmen have spoken in the event.

The long list of speakers includes: Mr Sinha, Dharmendra Pradhan (the Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship), Sunil Bharti Vittal (the Chairman of Bharti Enterprises), Satish Mahana (UP Industrial Development Minister), Vittorio Colao (the CEO of Vodafone Group), Mukesh Ambani (the Chairman of Reliance Industries), Rajan Anandhan (Google’s VP for South East Asia and India) and many more.
