Farmers’ strike continues in Jantar Mantar: Protest against Meenakshi Lekhi’s statement is strong

Farmers continue to strike at Jantar Mantar against agricultural laws. The farmers will reached at Jantar Mantar from the Delhi border by 11 am.

Security has been beefed up in Delhi in view of the strike. The farmers have decided to continue the dharna at Jantar Mantar till the end of the monsoon session of Parliament.

Meanwhile, the Kisan Morcha is intensifying its protest against Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi’s statement that the strike is being carried out by thugs and not farmers. But that his words were distorted.

Meenakshi Lekhi said she regretted the statement. Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has come out with a scathing critique of Meenakshi Lekhi’s statement.
