Drug case involving Aryan Khan: Prabhakar Sail witness who made bribery allegations dies

A witness to the drug case involving actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has died. Another controversial witness in the case, Prabhakar Sail, who was also Kiran Goswami’s bodyguard died. The lawyer confirmed that the death was due to a heart attack.

Prabhakar was the first witness to allege that the case against Aryan Khan was fabricated. He had leveled serious allegations against Sameer Wankhede, the investigating officer in the case at the time. It was alleged that Aryan Khan was arrested for threatening Shah Rukh Khan and extorting Rs 8 crore from Sameer Wankhede. It was revealed that Kiran Goswami, another accused in the case, was heard talking to another person about the matter. Prabhakar had alleged that Goa had received Rs 50 lakh the day after Aryan Khan’s arrest.

The Narcotics Control Bureau has recently found that there is no evidence against Aryan Khan in the highly controversial drug case. The NCB Special Investigation Team (SIT) said the raid was carried out without due process and the conspiracy allegations did not stand. The NCB has handed over the case to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) after the arrest of Shah Rukh Khan’s son from a luxury cruise ship was rife with allegations of embezzlement and bribery. Deputy Director General Sanjay Kumar will soon submit the final report of the IPS-led probe.

The report finds that Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede, who had earlier investigated the case, is more defensive. One finding was that procedures had been violated, including the need to film the raid. No drugs were seized from Aryan Khan, so his mobile phone should not have been seized and checked. The mobile phone was checked but it was found that there was no information in it to substantiate the conspiracy allegation. Earlier, when Aryan Khan was granted bail, the Bombay High Court had made a similar observation.
