Documentary on Nayanthara-Vignesh Shivan wedding to premiere on Netflix
News about a potential programme about the wedding ceremony has been circulating on social media since Tamil diva Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan wed on June 9 in a lavish ceremony with numerous top stars in attendance, including Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, and AR Rahman.
Now that it has been officially announced, a Netflix documentary about the celebrity wedding will debut. By posting a few still images of the newlyweds, the streaming juggernaut announced the news.
Gautam Vasudev Menon, a well-known Tamil filmmaker who has worked on movies like Minnale, Vettaiyadu Villaiyadu, and Vaaranam Aayiram, would be in charge of directing the documentary.
In a formal statement, Tanya Bami, Netflix India’s head of series, acknowledged the information. She declared, “We are the home for original, fascinating, and unscripted material that has the ability to connect with audiences in India and beyond… Nayanthara has had a career spanning nearly 20 years and has been a great superstar. We can’t wait for our members to finally get to see Nayanthara’s journey that lead to her dream wedding with Vignesh thanks to our incredible creative partners, filmmaker Gautam Vasudevan and Rowdy Pictures.
First collaborating on the 2015 film Naanum Rowdydhaan was Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan. They worked together once more on Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (2022). Additionally, the couple founded the production company known as Rowdy Pictures, which created Rocky and released Pebbles and Netrikann.
Date of the documentary’s premiere has not yet been disclosed by Netflix.
