Director Hwang Dong-hyuk announces ‘Squid Game’ Season 2
The first season of Netflix’s South Korean Survival Drama Series ‘Squid Game’, which was recently the biggest hit on OTT, will not end. Hwang Dong-hyuk, the creator, writer and director of the series, has promised that the series will have its next season as well. Hwang first mentioned this in an interview with AP News. “Things are in such a way that we have no other choice ahead,” he told.
But Hwang Dong-hyuk said that they did not face any pressure for a second part but there was a great demand and love. “It’s in my head right now. I can’t tell you when and how, but I can guarantee it. Ji Hoon (the character in the squid game) will be back. He will do something for the world,” says the director.
The squid game started streaming on Netflix on September 17th. A group of people who are desperate for money are agreeing to participate in certain games. But something unexpected and dangerous awaits them. This is the gist of the series. The squid game is currently considered to be Netflix’s greatest success in terms of series. The series has won fans around the world for the South Korean players.
