DHL to Invest €1 Billion in India by 2030
DHL Group has announced a major investment programme worth around €1 billion (over ₹10,000 crore) to strengthen its operations across India by 2030. CEO Tobias Meyer said the commitment reflects DHL’s confidence in India’s growth potential and aligns with the company’s “Strategy 2030 – Accelerate Sustainable Growth.” The investment spans critical sectors such as life sciences, healthcare, new energy, e-commerce, and digitalisation.
The logistics giant will undertake several major infrastructure projects, including the first DHL Health Logistics hub in Bhiwandi, a large low-emission integrated facility for Blue Dart in Bijwasan, an automated sorting centre for DHL Express in Delhi, the company’s fifth IT services centre in Indore, and EV and battery logistics centres of excellence in Chennai and Mumbai. Additionally, Blue Dart will set up its largest low-emission ground hub in Haryana.
Despite global trade pressures, DHL says India’s stable policies and diversification efforts make it a strong long-term investment destination. Meyer noted that the company aims to build more reliable and sustainable logistics solutions for customers, even as India’s exports grew 6.18% between April and August 2025.
