Deepinder Goyal Clarifies ‘Temple’ Wearable Is Still Under Development, Not for Sale
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has issued a clarification regarding the much-discussed health-tech wearable called “Temple,” stating that the device is not yet available for sale. The clarification came after social media debates and concerns raised by influencers and medical professionals, including doctors from AIIMS, who questioned the safety and scientific basis of what some termed a “bio-hacking” gadget.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Goyal said that no public commercial announcement has been made for Temple and that no official benchmarking or performance data has been released. He emphasized that the device is still a work in progress and could take several months before even a public preview is considered, if the team decides to pursue a commercial launch at all.
Responding to online warnings advising people not to buy the device, Goyal remarked that such reactions were premature since the product has not been launched or marketed. He added that detailed scientific explanations would be shared “if and when” Temple is offered for sale. Until then, he encouraged healthy skepticism while also supporting Indian startups. Temple remains Goyal’s personal venture under Continue Research and is linked to his proposed Gravity Ageing Hypothesis.
