Dabur India Expects Double-Digit Q2 Growth
Dabur India expects its consolidated revenue and profit after tax to grow at double-digit rates in the second quarter, supported by stronger performance in its India consumer goods business and continued growth in international markets. The company said its India FMCG business is likely to record double-digit growth for the quarter ended September 30, marking its strongest performance in recent quarters.
The company said margins faced pressure from inflation linked to higher crude oil prices in the Middle East, which increased plastic packaging costs. However, the impact was partly offset by price increases and cost-saving measures. Dabur’s international business is also expected to report high-teen growth in Indian rupee terms despite significant challenges in the Middle East.
Dabur’s home and personal care business is expected to post double-digit growth, with hair oils and shampoos likely to grow in the high teens, supported by demand for perfumed and coconut hair oils. This would mark the segment’s fourth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth. Peers Marico and Godrej Consumer Products have also forecast strong revenue growth for the second quarter.
