Court Orders Restoration of CJP’s X Account

The Delhi High Court has directed the Indian government to restore the X account of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which had been blocked for more than a month after rapidly gaining around 200,000 followers. The government had earlier argued that the account’s posts could disrupt public order during the reconducted national medical entrance examination following a question paper leak.

During the court proceedings, the central government informed the court that it had no objection to unblocking the account, leading to the High Court’s order. Despite the ruling, the account continued to display a notice stating it was withheld in India in response to a legal demand.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke welcomed the decision, calling it a major victory for the party, its movement, and for free speech and digital rights. The youth-led group, which has organized protests demanding the resignation of the Education Minister over the exam paper leak controversy, continues to maintain a strong online presence, including nearly 22 million followers on Instagram.
