Cop explains “accident” when Mumbai woman eats Maggi with tomatoes and dies

Police in Mumbai reported that a woman, 27, passed away after accidently eating food laced with rat poison. The woman unintentionally included a tomato that was poisoned with rat poison while cooking maggi. The event happened in Mumbai’s Malad neighbourhood near Pascal Wadi.

According to the police, Rekha Nishad, the wife, poisoned tomatoes on July 21 to kill rodents within the home. She unintentionally mixed the tomato into her noodles the following day.

Musa Devarshi, a sub inspector of the Malvani Police, claimed that she accidently put the tomato to her lunch while watching television.

After eating the Maggi, she started throwing up hours later. She was taken to the closest hospital by her husband and brother-in-law. On Wednesday, the patient passed away while receiving care at the hospital.
