On June 9, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan all set to tie the knot

Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan are set to marry on June 9 (tomorrow) at a resort in Mahabalipuram. The Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal director revealed his and Nayanthara’s wedding plans during a conference in Chennai. He revealed that they had planned to marry in Tirupati at first. However, they had to change the wedding venue due to logistical issues.

“Like how your blessings have been there for me professionally, I needed those for my personal life as well,” Vignesh Shivan said. “My personal life has progressed to the next level. On June 9, I will marry Nayanthara, the love of my life. At Mahabalipuram, it will be a small gathering of family and close friends. We had planned to marry at Tirupathi temple, but logistical issues prevented us from doing so. We will share our photos with you all after the wedding, in the afternoon. Nayanthara and I will meet you (media) all on June 11 in the afternoon and have lunch together.”

Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Suriya, Ajith, Karthi, Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and others are expected to attend the wedding and reception, according to reports.

Another rumour circulating about the star couple’s wedding is that filmmaker Gautham Menon will direct the ceremony, which will later be turned into a documentary and sold to an OTT platform for a large sum of money. According to reports, the wedding documentary will premiere on Netflix.

When Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan were working together on Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in 2015, they began dating. At an award ceremony in 2016, the couple confirmed their relationship.

Vignesh shared a photo of Nayanthara wearing a ring in 2021. The post went viral, sparking rumours that the two were engaged. While Vignesh remained silent in his post, Nayanthara announced her engagement during Netrikann’s promotions.
