Even though in the recent elections the BJP and even regional parties such as the JD(S) extensively used the social media platforms to attract new voters and connect with existing voters, the Congress Party was not enthusiastic about using the new technology to win the heart of the people.

Now, the country has reached a stage in which the prominence of the social media platforms can no longer be ignored by any political party if it aims to succeed in the elections.

Identifying this reality, the Karnataka’s Congress party have finally decided to try their hand at the social media.

The grand old party of India, as per the report, has the network of nearly six lakh booth-level members in the state.

It is said that the Congress party can easily gain a huge presence on the social media platform if it uses their resources, such as the members, wisely.

It is learned that in the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections the social media platforms will be extensively used.

If the strategy gains desired outcome, it will be adopted as a central strategy in the upcoming elections.

The next three years is very crucial for the Congress party and the Central Working Committee of the party.
