Suriya: To Prove Oneself We Don’t Need To Work In Bollywood

Suriya, a south Indian actor, stated on Tuesday that he does not need to work in Bollywood to prove himself. As part of the promotion for his upcoming film Etharkkum Thunindhavan, the actor attended a press conference in Kochi.

When asked if he wants to work in Bollywood, Suriya said, “We will make them (Bollywood) talk about us by the work we are doing here.” “Of course, it’s a larger industry and platform.” I’d like to work in Bollywood if the opportunity arises. But, he added, “I don’t believe we need to go there to prove ourselves.”

Suriya wished women all over the world a happy Women’s Day during the press conference, saying that it is their sacrifice and unconditional love that makes the world a better place. “Women’s sacrifice and unconditional love make the world a better place, and we owe them a great debt.” Women have a lot to teach us. “They improve us,” the actor stated. “When we have visitors, we naturally ask our daughter to serve them rather than our sons. What causes this to happen? “We must start with ourselves and our homes,” he added. Former Kerala Health Minister K K Shailaja and current Trivandrum Mayor Arya Rajendran, he added, are inspirational women. He recalled a phone call from Shailaja teacher who wanted to share her thoughts on his critically acclaimed film Jai Bhim. “Someone like Shailaja teacher, whom I greatly respect, calls me personally to discuss my film. It means a great deal.”

“I still can’t break the language barrier,” Suriya said when asked if he will star in a Malayalam film. “But I would like to do at least one movie in Malayalam,” Suriya stated that he is looking forward to seeing Bheeshmaparvam and that he will contact Amal Neerad to collaborate on a project.

Suriya said his upcoming film Ethurkkum Thunindhavan is a story that can happen in any family. “The film depicts a problem that can arise in any family. Instead of remaining silent, the film demonstrates how to deal with such situations and how to communicate within the family when such problems arise,” the actor explained.

Suriya also discussed sharing screen space with his wife, actor Jyotika, during the press conference for Etharkkum Thunindhavan. The actor stated that he and Jyotika are only willing to work together again if a script comes together naturally and the writer or director sees them as integral to the story. The last time the two appeared on screen together was in the 2006 film Sillunu Oru Kaadhal.

Etharkkum Thunindhavan, directed by Pandiraj, will be released on March 10th.
