Comedian Raju Srivastava Suffers Cardiac Arrest In Gym, Admitted To AIIMS

Raju Srivastava, a stand-up comedian, had a heart arrest today while exercising in a gym and was taken to the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi.

He got chest pain while using a treadmill in a gym and collapsed. His trainer drove him to AIIMS, where he received twice CPR and was brought back to life. According to a source who spoke to news agency PTI, “Srivastava had to be resuscitated twice and was brought to catheterization lab for emergency angiography.”

At the hospital, the comedian is presently being watched. Sunil Pal, another stand-up comic, posted on Instagram that Mr. Srivastava is no longer in danger.

One of the top stand-up comedians in the nation, Mr. Srivastava, is well-known on television. Although he began working in the entertainment sector in the late 1980s, he first gained notoriety after taking part in the inaugural season of the stand-up comedy programme “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.”

In Hindi movies like “Maine Pyar Kiya,” “Baazigar,” “Bombay to Goa,” and “Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya,” he has made appearances. He participated in the third season of “Bigg Boss.” Mr. Srivastava is the current head of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council.
