Clashes break out in three places in Jammu and Kashmir; Kashmir police says killed 7 terrorists
Kashmir police have killed seven militants in three separate clashes in Jammu and Kashmir. The clashes took place in Pulwama, Kulgam and Kupwara last night and this morning. Four militants were killed in a joint operation by police and army in a hideout in the Lobab area of Kupwara. One of them is a Lashkar-e-Taiba operative from Pakistan. Two were killed in clashes in Kulgam and one in Pulwama.
In Kashmir, a police sub-inspector was shot dead by terrorists yesterday. Sampora SI Farooq A Mir was killed. The body of the SI was found shot dead under mysterious circumstances in Pulwama. Kashmir police had confirmed that he was shot dead by terrorists.
