Case Against Dancer Sapna Chaudhary, Family For Allegedly Demanding Dowry

For their alleged role in harassing and demanding dowry from the former Big Boss contestant’s sister-in-law, Haryanvi singer and dancer Sapna Chaudhary and her family members have been named in a complaint.
Her brother Karan and mother Neelam are the subjects of a case that Palwal Police has filed against them for multiple offences, including dowry assault.

The singer-dancer Sapna Chaudhary and others, including her mother-in-law Neelam and husband Karan, were accused of seeking a Creta car as dowry in a complaint made by Sapna Chaudhary’s in-law.

When the dowry demands were not paid, the plaintiff claims that her in-laws attacked her and harassed and sexually exploited her. In 2018, the complainant wed Karan, a citizen of Delhi’s Najafgarh neighbourhood.

In her complaint, Sapna’s sister-in-law claimed that when her daughter was born, her in-laws started requesting the automobile as part of the “Chuchak” rite. Her father did present them with clothing, some gold and silver jewellery, and 3 lakh in cash.

Additionally, she claimed that after receiving gifts from her family, her in-laws became angry and started to verbally abuse her once more while demanding the automobile.

She added that on May 6, 2020, her spouse (Karan) had unnatural intercourse with her and assaulted her while intoxicated.

She added that she had gone back to her father’s home in Palwal around six months prior and reported her in-laws, Sapna Chaudhary, Karan, and Neelam, to the local women’s police station, but no arrests had been made as of yet.
