Bhagwant Mann has invited the people of Punjab to the event, saying that he will be joined by the state’s 3 crore people in taking the oath.

“Not only will Bhagwant Mann take the oath and become Chief Minister in Bhagat Singh’s Khatkar Kalan on March 16, but so will all three crore people of Punjab. We will make Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s Rangla Punjab together “In a video message, Mr Mann said. He has also urged men to wear turbans of the ‘basanti’ (yellow) colour and women to wear basanti ‘dupattas.’ Officials expect over 3 lakh people to attend the event. For the oath-taking ceremony, elaborate security arrangements have been made.

Nearly 10,000 security personnel have been deployed for the event, according to officials, including Inspector General and Senior Superintendent Police rank officers. Because of the large crowd expected for the swearing-in ceremony, the district administration has declared today a school holiday.
