Around 19 Keralites killed in road accident in TN
As many as nineteen people – all from the state of Kerala – were killed in a disastrous road accident in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
The victims were travelling from the Karnataka city of Bengaluru to the Kerala city of Ernakulam in a KSRSTC bus. The bus collided with a container. It was at Avinashi in Tamil Nadu when the accident happened. Then, the time was just 3 ‘O’ clock in the morning.
It was locals who initially came to the rescue of the affected. Later, rescue officials reached the venue.
Several others were injured in the attack. Most of them have recovered from the injuries successfully.
It is the most haunting accident the state has witnessed in the recent past. What has led to the accident is not clear at this moment. An investigation is on.
Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, using his twitter handle, has condoled the death of nineteen members of the state in the accident occurred early Today at Avinashi in Tamil Nadu.
