Alia Bhatt’s Darlings clocks 10 million viewing hours in three days
Since its August 5 debut, Netflix’s Darlings has garnered a lot of accolades. A woman gets back against her abusive husband in the movie, which also stars Alia Bhatt, Vijay Varma, and Shefali Shah.
The film, which was directed by Jasmeet K. Reen, has been ranking among the top 10 films in 16 nations in the Americas, Africa, and Asia. With more than 10 million viewing hours, it had the highest opening for an original Indian movie that wasn’t in English.
Jasmeet expressed in a statement that it was “heartwarming” to witness such a welcome when discussing the admiration Darlings has received. Darlings has always been a distinctive and sentimental movie for Alia, who plays the lead character in it, according to a statement she released. “I knew I wanted to be involved—not just as an actor, but also in a wider way—in delivering these varied stories to the audience as soon as I read the script,” the actor said.
Darlings is also Alia Bhatt’s first movie under her production company Eternal Sunshine, which she worked on with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
