Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone to Invest $1.36 Billion to Expand European Offshore Operations

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone announced plans to significantly expand its presence in Europe by investing $1.36 billion in offshore marine capabilities through fiscal year 2031. The company has partnered with Oceaneering International to strengthen its offshore logistics and marine services operations as part of its broader global expansion strategy.

The company said its marine services arm, Astra Offshore, will develop a fleet of 200 specialised vessels to support offshore operations. Adani Ports aims to generate marine revenue of 60 billion rupees ($627.43 million) from the expansion, reflecting growing demand for offshore logistics and maritime services across European markets.

The move comes as the company looks to diversify beyond its core domestic port business amid expectations of slower earnings growth in fiscal 2027 due to global economic pressures, including U.S. tariffs and the Iran conflict. Part of billionaire Gautam Adani’s conglomerate, Adani Ports had recently projected fiscal 2027 revenue between 430 billion and 450 billion rupees while outlining planned capital expenditure of 120 billion to 140 billion rupees.
