Adani Airport Unit to Raise $1 Billion
Gautam Adani’s airport business is set to raise around $1 billion from investors including Temasek, BlackRock, Alpha Wave Global and Premji Invest to fund its expansion plans. The deal values Adani Airport Holdings at approximately $18 billion before the investment.
The funds will be used to modernise and expand its airport network, develop airport-linked commercial infrastructure and grow services such as ground handling and passenger facilities. The investment is expected to increase the network’s annual capacity to around 200 million passengers.
Adani’s airport unit currently operates eight airports, including Mumbai International Airport, handling about 25% of India’s passenger traffic and 33% of air cargo volumes. The latest investment comes as the group continues to expand its presence across India’s aviation sector.
