Adani Ports to Acquire Dutch Firm Evos for $2.88 Billion
India’s Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has announced plans to acquire Netherlands-based liquid storage operator Evos B.V. in a deal valued at €2.56 billion ($2.88 billion). The acquisition is expected to strengthen Adani Ports’ presence in Europe as it works towards building a globally diversified transport and logistics platform.
The acquisition will help Adani Ports expand and diversify its liquid storage business while gaining exposure to emerging fuels such as sustainable aviation fuel and biofuels. Evos operates eight strategically located port-based storage terminals across the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Malta, making it one of Europe’s largest independent liquid storage operators.
The deal carries an equity value of €1.18 billion and will be funded through debt, subject to regulatory and other approvals. Following the announcement, Adani Ports shares fell 1.3% to close at ₹1,884.60. The acquisition also supports the company’s broader international expansion strategy, including its transshipment operations at Vizhinjam in India and Colombo in Sri Lanka.
