Nykaa Q1 Profit Jumps Over Threefold on Strong Beauty and Fashion Growth
Nykaa reported a more than threefold increase in its quarterly net profit for the June quarter, driven by strong growth in its beauty business and a sharp rise in fashion sales. Consolidated net profit climbed to ₹800.1 million from ₹233.2 million a year earlier, while revenue from operations increased over 29% year-on-year to ₹27.82 billion.
The beauty segment continued to perform well through Nykaa’s e-commerce platform, retail stores, and owned brands. Meanwhile, the fashion business gained momentum with higher customer additions, an expanded brand portfolio, and its partnership with Nike, helping the segment become EBITDA-positive as net sales value surged 54%.
The company’s gross merchandise value rose 34% to ₹55.9 billion, reflecting strong consumer demand across categories. Nykaa also announced the acquisition of a 51% stake in premium skincare brand Aminu Wellness for ₹320 million, further strengthening its presence in the beauty and personal care market.
