Vidyasagar, South Star Meena’s husband, passed away
Vidyasagar, the popular South actress Meena’s husband, passed away on Monday. He was in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, at a private hospital. Vidyasagar has been receiving treatment for a serious lung infection for the past few months.
In 2009, Meena and Vidyasagar, a businessman, were married in Bengaluru. Many famous people and Meena’s colleagues in the profession, including Khushbu Sundar, Lakshmi Manchu, Sarath Kumar, and others, expressed their sorrow and sent their condolences to the actress and her family.
Khushbu Sundar tweeted to the family to offer her sincere condolences “Waking up to terrible news. Heartbroken to learn actor Meena’s husband, Sagar, is no more with us. He was battling a lung ailment for a long. My heart goes out to Meena n her young daughter. Life is cruel. At the loss of words to express grief. Deepest condolences to the family” with the hashtag #RIP.
Actor-turned-politician R. Sarathkumar shared a family picture of Meena, her husband and their daughter Nainika and wrote, “It is shocking to hear the news of the untimely demise of Actor Meena’s husband Vidyasagar, our family’s heartfelt condolences to Meena and the near and dear of her family, may his soul rest in peace.”
Meena started her career as a child performer and rose to fame as an actress in South Asian cinema in the 1990s. Recently, she appeared in the movie Son of India. She had acted in Drishyam and Drishyam 2 before. By portraying Vijay’s daughter in the movie Theri, her daughter Nainika has also dipped a toe into the film industry.
