On June 22, IKEA will open its first city store in Bengaluru

The Swedish home furnishings retailer IKEA India (part of the Ingka Group) announced on Tuesday that its first store in the city will open on June 22.
According to a statement, the large-format store will be connected to the Nagasandra metro station.

Anje Heim has been appointed as the Market Manager for the Karnataka market by IKEA India. “IKEA aims to offer home furnishing solutions that match the aspirations and dreams of many Bengaluru residents for a better everyday life,” Heim explained. IKEA Nagasandra will be your one-stop shop for all of your home furnishing needs.”

The 4,60,000 sq ft IKEA Nagasandra store, which spans 12.2 acres, will offer over 7,000 affordable, good-quality, sustainable, and well-designed home furnishing IKEA products, according to the statement.

The store will also feature one of the largest children’s play areas in the world, dubbed ‘Smland,’ as well as a 1,000-seater restaurant and a bistro serving a mix of Swedish and Indian delicacies, according to reports.

In Bengaluru, IKEA launched its e-commerce journey in 2021, with a shopping website and an app.
