Prosthesis dissected and examined issue; CISF apologizes to Sudha Chandran

CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) apologizes to actress and dancer Sudha Chandran. The apology comes after the prosthetic limb was removed during checks at airports. Sudha Chandran had protested against the regular dismantling of her prosthetic limb at airports.

The CISF said the prosthesis should be disassembled only in exceptional circumstances. Authorities said they would investigate the incident. Last day, the actress protested against having to remove her prosthetic leg during checks at airports. The Prime Minister’s involvement in the incident was also sought through a video message. Sudha said it was painful to have artificial limbs removed and checked at airports every time she traveled for official purposes and that the authorities should take steps to address this.

The video was shared by many, including movie and serial stars. She had said that justice should be done to people like Sudha and that she was a nationally recognized artist and should be given due respect.
