Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter account restored

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter account has been restored. Rahul’s account was restored this morning. The account has been restored seven days after it is locked.

Rahul’s ID was blocked after he tweeted a picture of himself with the family of a girl who died after being tortured in Delhi. The accounts that shared Rahul’s tweets were also under action.Thus blocked accounts have also been returned.

The Twitter response was that the action was based on a complaint by the National Child Rights Commission. Rahul Gandhi had reacted strongly against the Twitter action. In a video posted on YouTube yesterday, Rahul even said that Twitter was interfering in Indian democracy.
