150 cars got fire near venue of Aero India show
Where the Aero India show was hosting, A massive fire broke out and diffused across a parking space near Gate number 5 of Yelanhanka Air Force Station. Around 150 park cars have burnt, inform the Karnataka Fire Department. The incident occurred at about 12:17 pm, while the morning flying display was in course.
According to the fire department, the fire was restrained by forming a gap between the adjacent cars. No injuries have been notified so far. Officials said the fire seeming started on dry grass and spread quickly, assisted by strong winds. Firemen tried controlling the blaze by removing unaffected vehicles away from the fire zone. Officials said the fire has now been controlled and no one sustained injuries.
The fire broke out just moments after badminton star PV Sindhu took to the skies along with the co-piloting the Light Combat Aircraft, Tejas’s trainer variant. However, no other plane took off after Sindhu’s.
